Over time, lumps of dried paint will form at the bottom of the paint container. These lumps risk clogging the filter, pump and/or nozzle so we highly recommend cleaning the container once in a while, especially if the robot has been stored for a longer period of time.

Cleaning the container
- First, empty the container of any leftover paint.
- Turn the container on its head and knock on the bottom to see if some of the lumps can be knocked out.
- Fill the container halfway with warm water, close the lid and shake for a while. Pour the water out and repeat the process until the water is reasonably clear.
- Fill the container up to 1/3 with diluted acetic acid (the stuff you would use for your electric kettle - follow the instructions for diluting on the container). Alternatively you can use undiluted household vinegar.
- Close the lid and let it sit for 10 minutes. Shake the container and let it sit for an additional 5 minutes.
- Empty the container and clean it thoroughly with water.
The container should now be empty of any lumps of dried paint. If not, repeat the process above.
It is important that there is no acetic acid or vinegar in the container when you refill it with paint and start painting.
