Follow these simple steps to safely store your equipment and keep it in top condition. This is intended for long storage periods like the summer holidays or the winter months. However, this can be used as general advice for any time of the year.
1. Storing the Robot
Proper cleaning and storage are key to the Robot's long life.
Cleaning and Preparation
- Empty and Clean the Canister:
- Rinse the canister until as much paint as possible is gone.
- Dispose of Old Paint:
- Get rid of old or unused paint. Do not store it inside the robot. Old paint can spoil and become very smelly!
- Clean the Spray System:
- Empty and thoroughly clean the entire Spray System.
- Remove the nozzle.
- Remove the Mesh from the in-line filter.
- Remove All Dirt:
- Clean the robot thoroughly to remove all mud and debris from the outside (Please do not use high-pressure water, as this can damage the machine).
- Ensure all mud and debris is removed from the Battery rail.

Location and Environment
- Store the robot in a safe spot, away from other objects or obstacles that could bump into it or cause damage.
- Place the robot in a well-ventilated area so air can circulate. Avoid covering it, as this can trap moisture and cause issues over time.
- Store the robot in a secure and locked environment.
- Store the robot at a temperature close to room temperature (around 15–27°C or 59–80.6°F).
2. Storing the Robot Battery and Tablet
The requirements for the Battery and Tablet are the same, focusing on temperature and keeping the battery healthy.
Battery Care
- Make sure both the Robot Battery and the Tablet are fully charged before storage.
- You must recharge both the Battery and the Tablet for 24 hours at least once a month. This is crucial to keep the battery cells active and healthy.
Environment
- Store the robot battery and tablet at a temperature close to room temperature (around 15–27°C or 59–80.6°F).
- Store them in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, open windows, or excessive humidity.
