There are two types of nozzles used for the TinyLineMarkers: cone nozzles and fan nozzles. The type you install depends on the outcome you want from your paint job.
- Fan Nozzle: Sprays paint fanned in a fan pattern, using relatively more paint than the cone nozzle. This results in sharper, more defined lines.
- Cone Nozzle: Sprays paint in a conical shape, using relatively less paint. This makes it a more economical choice for larger jobs.
When you have chosen which nozzle to use, you might need to change it, if the right one isn't already installed on your robot. The following guide shows you how to do it both on the robot and on the app. It is important that both are done.
How to change the nozzle
- Locate the nozzle underneath the spray tool on the back of the robot.
- Twist the nozzle housing counterclockwise to remove it. Note the order and orientation of the parts as you disassemble them.
- Dismantle the nozzle into its four components as shown below: housing, nozzle, gasket, and filter. If the filter is missing, it might still be in the outlet tube. Note that the parts may look different depending on your nozzle type.
- Take the desired nozzle and reassemble it in the robot. Ensure the order and orientation of the parts are the same as when you removed them.
How to change nozzle settings in the app
It's important to adjust the app settings to match the type of nozzle you're using. This ensures optimal robot performance and helps you achieve better lines.
1. Navigate to the settings menu in the app by tapping the gear icon() in the top left corner.
2. Select "Robot Settings".
3. In "Robot Settings", choose the nozzle type you'll be using.
