Confirm that the map is truly not displaying

-
- Click on either one of the zoom icons ( or ) to zoom in on the tablet’s location or zoom out to view all template locations on the world map.
- If the map still does not display on the tablet, review the other solutions listed below.
Check if the background map option is enabled
- Select the gear icon() at the top left corner of the screen.
- Select ‘General’ from the settings menu.
- Under the Map section on the screen, confirm that the ‘Background map’ is checked.
- If the option box is unchecked, check it and confirm that the map is now displayed on the tablet.
- If the option box is checked, uncheck and recheck it. Confirm that the map is now displayed on the tablet.
Check the internet signal indicator at the top right of the screen
If the tablet only has one or two bars, it cannot display a background map. Displaying a map requires a lot of internet capacity.
If the tablet does not have internet access, the map will not display and a “No Internet” warning message will appear at the bottom of the tablet screen.
- Check if the tablet is in airplane mode.
- Check for the airplane icon() at the top-right of the screen where the signal bars typically display.
- If the airplane icon is present, swipe down from the top edge of the screen with your finger to access the tablet’s “Quick menu”.
- Select the airplane icon so that it becomes grayed out.
- Check if the tablet displays a no-network icon.
- The network provider may have temporarily deactivated the SIM card for maintenance. Call support to check on your SIM card status.
- Network outage or Dead-zone is a likely cause for this icon to display. SIM cards are tower-specific, so even if a cell tower is close by, it may not be the network the SIM is allowed on. Additionally, a tower that is close by may require maintenance and has been shut down for repairs. If this is the case enabling Wi-Fi on the tablet to connect to a hotspot may be the best solution to complete jobs in this area.
