If your field needs to be placed in an exact location due to eg. fixed corner flags or goal posts, you can use the robot to collect the points and then place your field exactly where it needs to be.
Note:
To lay out your fields correctly according to your fixed positions, please read the instructions at the bottom of this guide on how to position the robot when collecting the points.
Collecting points using the robot

- Select your layout method. You can use corners, sides and/or goalposts to place your field.
3. You can now use the joystick to navigate the robot to the first point you want to collect. Position the robot so that the nozzle is positioned right above the point you want to collect (see below).
4. Press Collect.
5. Drive to the next point you want to collect and press Collect.
6. When all points are collected, the field will be placed automatically.
7. Press Save to save the field.
Can I recollect a point if I made a mistake?
Yes, you can recollect any of the points you have collected.
- Press Recollect (You can use the arrows next to Recollect to select the point you want to recollect).
2. Drive the robot to the new and correct position using the joystick.
3. Press Recollect.
The field is now created according to the newly collected point.
It is also possible to edit collected points at a later time. To do this, select the field, press Modify and then Recollect.
How should I position the robot when collecting points?
The robot uses the nozzle's position to collect the points.
Collecting points on line (corner or side)
- Drive the robot to the line in question.
- If you want to collect a side, place the robot so that the nozzle is exactly above the middle of the desired line.
- If you are collecting a corner point, position the robot so that the nozzle is right above the point where the middle of the two lines meet (See figure below).

Collecting points for fixed goalposts
- Drive to the goalpost or goal socket from the outside of the goal along the goal line.
- Drive as near to the goalpost as possible without the robot touching the post (the robot will ensure a safe space around the poles when it marks the lines).
- If there is no goalpost in the socket, drive to the outside of the goal socket as illustrated below.

WARNING
Never position the robot on top of the goal socket when collecting points.
WARNING
Do not lift or push the robot when collecting points as that would disturb the position sensors and could make the collected position incorrect.
INFO
When collecting points, you can press Slow joystick. This feature slows down the driving speed and allows for more precise point collection.
